image001Hilda Janey, 81, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Holzer Senior Care in Gallipolis. She was born on September 6, 1932 in Gallipolis, to the late Edith Brucker Boster and Delbert S. Boster.

Hilda graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1950. She began work at Holzer Clinic as a medical secretary and later was named secretary to the clinic administrator and later promoted to executive assistant in clinic administration. She retired from this position in1998 after a total of forty-eight years employment with the clinic.

Hilda was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Church and attended many church functions as health permitted. She was a member of Holzer Clinic Retirees and was a past member of the Gallia County Animal Welfare League.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Janey and a newborn son Rex Allen. Survivors include her son Scott Alan Janey (Terri) and her daughter Kimberly Janey (Clagg) Campbell (Colin); six grandchildren T.J. Clagg, Adam, Clagg, Caleb Janey, Micah Janey, Quentin Campbell and Conner Campbell; two great grandchildren, Caden and Kaleigh Clagg.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Randy Carnes and Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home.
