MEIGS COUNTY – Following the ice and snow Meigs County received through the night, there are many closings. Call ahead if it is absolutely necessary to travel today.
Meigs County is currently still under a Level 3 Snow Emergency which means those who are driving may be subject to arrest. Only emergency personnel should be on the roadways.
CLOSINGS
Home National Bank will be closed until the Level 3 Snow Emergency has been lifted.
Meigs County Libraries are closed today.
Peoples Bank also closed.
Gallia-Meigs Community Action will be closed until noon.
Meigs County Courthouse is closed today.
Meigs Soil and Water District Office is closed.
All Meigs County schools are closed including: Eastern, Southern, Meigs, Mid Valley Christian, Carleton and Meigs Industries.
New Horizons Child Enrichment and Heart of the Valley Expansion Classroom are closed.
Buckeye Hills Career Center is now on a district wide shut down. This means all adult classes will be closed on Monday, March 3.
The Meigs County Council on Aging, Inc. (Senior Center) and the Meigs Wellness Center are also closed.
DELAYS
From Holzer: The following Holzer locations are on a two hour delay for Monday, March 3: Holzer Sycamore, Holzer Meigs, Holzer Point Pleasant, Holzer South Charleston, Holzer Lawrence, Holzer Liberty Circle in Proctorville.
The Meigs County Job and Family Services will be closed until noon today.
