Meigs County Sheriff’s Office Find Meth and Marijuana

Sheriff Keith O. Wood reports, on July 30, 2014, Deputies discovered several Methamphetamine labs at two separate locations in Rutland Township.

Deputies first discovered two gas generators, and two one-pot reactionary vessels at the home of Missy (Walker) Priddy, age 31, located on 35209 Corn Hollow Road, Rutland, Ohio. Walker along with Van Prince Jr., age 42, were arrested and charged with alleged Illegal Possession and Assembly of Chemicals to make Methamphetamine.

Deputies then went to the home of Danny Walker, age 57, on Lasher Road. At that residence they discovered numerous one-pot reactionary vessels, various gas generators, and large amounts of materials used in the manufacturing of Methamphetamine. Living at the home with Walker were Scott Nickels, age 41, Danny Morgan, age 29, Kayla King, age 23, and Wesley Gilkey, age 40. All Subjects were charged with alleged Illegal Possession and Assembly of Chemicals. Danny Morgan was also charged with Failure to Register as a sex Offender. Both Danny Morgan and Wesley Gilkey also had warrants for their arrest for failure to appear in the Meigs County Common Pleas court on other pending cases.

On the scene assisting with the neutralization, were Meth Technicians from both the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office and Middleport Police Department, along with Rutland Fire Department and Medics from Meigs County EMS.

An Arrest Warrant has been issued for Danny Walker. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office. 740-992-3371

Also discovered in Darwin Ohio, deputies located over 250 marijuana plants at 41297 Darwin Road. The report came from a concerned citizen who had stumble upon the plants by accident. Upon investigation, deputies were able to locate a path that led them to the house on the property along with more marijuana plants. Deputies were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence and found more marijuana plants inside the house along with other evidence. The case is currently under Investigation. Sheriff Wood also reports the arrest of Anthony Gilliam age 31. Gilliam was charged with four alleged felony counts of Theft by Deception, Fraud and Passing Bad Checks. The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office had received numerous reports from victims stating that they had paid for contractor services from Gilliam that he did not render.

Gilliam was incarcerated at the South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail pending a court appearance.
