Meigs County Sheriff’s Department Bust Multiple Meth Labs

stars-storyMIDDLEPORT – On August 19, 2014 Sgt. A. Smith of the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a report of a possible methamphetamine lab in Middleport. During the course of the investigation Sgt. Smith was able to gain consent to search a residence on Broadway Street in the village. During the search Sgt. Smith located materials used to manufacture methamphetamine and then neutralized the items which were located. Joseph A Kimes of Middleport was then arrested and charged for alleged manufacturing methamphetamine and illegal possession of chemicals to produce methamphetamine. The Middleport Police and The Middleport Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

On the same evening Sgt. A. Smith, Deputy B. Davis, and Detective R. Smith of the Middleport Police Department searched the residence of Timothy Dexter and Samantha Gilbert of Shade where they located the materials to manufacture methamphetamine. Both Dexter and Gilbert were also charged with alleged manufacturing methamphetamine and alleged illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine.

On August 25, 2014 Sgt. A. Smith was dispatched to Side Hill Rd and Carpenter Rd after The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office received a call of two subjects sitting in a Ford Ranger on the side of the road and acting suspicious. Upon arrival Sgt. A. Smith located Missy Priddy (Walker) and Shannon L. Nitz in the Ford Ranger. Sgt. Smith then located a cooler outside the passenger door of the truck and a generator bottle off gassing. The duo was then removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. Middleport Police Department Patrolmen S. Smith then arrived on scene to assist in the neutralization of the lab. Three one-pot labs and one HCL generator were taken along with numerous other items to produce methamphetamine. The Scipio Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Both subjects were charged with alleged manufacturing methamphetamine and illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine. Missy Priddy (Walker) was out on bond for the same charges through Meigs County Court.

On August 25, 2014 The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. A. Smith, Deputy J. Barnhart, Deputy J. Ridenour and Patrolmen S. Smith of Middleport Police Department went to the residence of Joe Tritipo on Chase Rd. Upon our arrival a search was conducted and a jar of suspected methamphetamine was located in the garage at the residence. Joe was not home at the time and was charged with alleged possession of Methamphetamine.

On August 25, 2014 Sgt. M. Griffin, Sgt. A. Smith, Deputy J. Barnhart and Patrolman S. Smith from Middleport Police Department went to a possible methamphetamine lab on Vance Rd. Upon arrival Jonathan Vance began running into the residence. Laine Vance was arrested outside and Jonathan was order back out of the residence and arrested. Bobby Vance was then located in a camper beside the house and arrested. Anthony Vance later arrived at the residence and was arrested. A search was conducted of the property and materials to manufacture methamphetamine, a HCL generator bottle and multiple one-pot methamphetamine labs were located and neutralized. All subjects were charged with alleged manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of chemicals to produce methamphetamine. The Scipio Township Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
