OBIT_ID_1500warnerMary Bell Warner, 84, of Racine, Ohio passed away on October 26, 2014. She was born on July 24, 1930 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late Beatrice (McFadden) and Willis Walker.

Mary Bell was adopted at the age of 5 by Writner and Lucy Cowdrey of Long Bottom, Ohio. Mary Bell was fortunate to grow up with her birth sister, Jean Walker Sayre Durst (now dec’d) on Daddy Writ’s farm. Mary Bell married Dale Clinton Warner on September 16, 1950 and went on to raise 5 children. Mary Bell was very involved and loved Forest Run Methodist Church. She sang in the choir for years and worked every job that was needed at the church. She appreciated the church membership and loved them as a second family. She loved quilting and singing in the chior with her church family.

Mary Bell is survived by her children, Lenora (Annie) Annette Robertson (Dale dec’d) of Cape Coral, FL, Connie and Rusty Saunders, Gallipolis, Jill and Alan Pugh, Scott Depot, WV, Michael and Sheila (Crouch) Warner, Racine and Mary Amber and David Findley, Racine. Grandchildren, Della Pugh (Jamie) Haines, Hurricane, WV, Carrie Pugh, Scott Depot, WV, Tucker Robertson, Cape Coral, FL, Matthew Warner, Racine, Jenny Warner (Joey) Nottingham, Racine, and Nicklaus Saunders, Gallipolis. Great-Grandchildren, Bradley Haines and Cody Haines, Hurricane, WV. She is also survived by her birth family siblings, whom she found as an adult in the 1950s; Willis Dayton Walker, Jr. (Susan) Clarksburg, WV, Jack Leroy Walker, Clarksburg, WV and Charles Richard Westly Walker Brockman (Gloria) Willoughby, Ohio. Deceased siblings are Thelma Louise Walker, Arizona, Alberta Walker, Clarksburg, WV, and Bonnie Jean Walker Cowdrey Sayre Durst, Pomeroy.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 4:00pm at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Bell may be made to the Forest Run United Methodist Church or to the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Resident Fund.
