Obit CandleSeth William Huntley, 91, Vinton, was called from this life at 10:05 P.M. Monday. December 22, 2014 in the Holzer Assisted Living, Gallipolis. The son of the late Roy Tyler and Velma Hartsook Huntley, he was born June 7, 1923 in Vinton. Seth was an Army veteran who proudly served during WWII. He was a member of the Vinton Post # 161 of the American Legion. He was a retired postmaster of the Vinton Post Office. Most importantly, Seth was a Minister and Lay Speaker at numerous churches in Gallia, Vinton and Meigs Counties. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Porter.

Seth is survived by his daughter, Ruth (Charles) Greenlee, Vinton and his son, Carl (Polly) Huntley, Wellston, six grandchildren, Rebekah Greenlee, Vinton, Rachel (Kurt) Pfeiffer, of Missouri, Joseph Greenlee, Jackson, Ohio, Hannah (Darren) Livie, of Maine, Jessica Gardner, Wellston and Jared Huntley, Hamden, Ohio, seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Greenlee, Sydney Pfeiffer, Shayna Feustal, Zach Feustal, Savannah Greenlee, Virginia Greenlee and Lauren Gardner and one great-great granddaughter, Emma Rae Greenlee

Seth was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Wern Huntley on July 25, 2012.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Officiating will be Pastor Robert Powell. Interment, with military honors presented by the Vinton Post #161 of the American Legion, will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Calling hours will be from 5 – 8 P.M. Friday at the church.
Funeral services for Seth have been entrusted to the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, Gallipolis.
