Ethel Faye Hill, age 81

Ethel Faye Hill, age 81, of Bidwell, died Saturday January 24, 2015 at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born July 24, 1933 in West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Silverton Russell DeVault and Lucy Mae Riffle DeVault. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by 1 son, Tommy Hill, 1 daughter, Patty Pelfrey, 1 sister, Freda Pearl Patrick, and by a son in law, Lonnie Neal.

Ethel was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and was an accomplished quilt maker. She loved spending time with her family and attending Springfield Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Homer Hill Jr. of Bidwell, 1 daughter, Wanda Neal of Henderson, WV. 5 sons, David Hill of Bidwell, Ronald (Risa) Hill of Gallipolis, Rick (Debbie) Hill of Bidwell, Kenny (Debbie) Hill of Bidwell, and Terry (Paula) Hill of Vinton. 11 grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Neal of Bidwell, Laura Stein of Grove City, Carrie (James) Franklin of Gallipolis, Misty (Brad) Rose of Gallipolis, Travis (Amanda) Hill of Gallipolis, Susan Hill of Bidwell, Shari Hill of Bidwell, Ryan Hill of Vinton, Kendra Hill of Vinton, Jenny (Shawn) Mount of Vinton, and Sarah (Jake) Saunders of Vinton. 15 great grandchildren, Brycen Neal, Jaden Neal, Patty Stein, Cole Franklin, Logan Rose, Maddy Rose, Gage Ronald Hill, Abigail Faye Hill, Lexi Hill, Mariah Hill, Darwin Hill, Olivia Hill, Colton Hill, Easton Mount, and Airella Mount. Also surviving is a step brother, Johnny DeVault.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM. Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Elmer Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 1 hour prior to services.
