One vehicle crash closes on ramp for awhile

POMEROY – A one vehicle crash had the on ramp closed from State Route 7 to State Route 33 toward Pomeroy at Five Points for a while as crews worked to clear the scene.

At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Friday, September 30, David L. Rees, 41, of Pomeroy was attempting to drive his white Dodge truck up the ramp when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a guard rail, rolled and came to rest partially down an embankment. Rees was wearing his seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.

Pomeroy Fire Department was on the scene and extracted Rees from the vehicle. He was taken from the scene by Meigs County EMS Medic 5. Meigs County EMS Medic 2 was also on the scene to assist.
