Several Meigs residents indicted by Nov. Gallia Grand Jury

(EDITOR’S NOTE: An indictment does not mean the suspect is guilty. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Indictments handed down by a grand jury are one part of the legal process.)

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – Several Meigs County residents have been indicted by the Gallia County Grand Jury in separate cases.

Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announced on Nov. 13, 2017 that the Gallia County Grand Jury met in November and returned 46 indictments on 38 individuals. Four of the individuals are from Meigs County, Ohio.

Iesha J. L. Pennick, 22, of Middleport, Ohio, has been indicted on one count of Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the second degree; one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the second degree; one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a felony of the third degree; one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the third degree; and one count of Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the third degree.

Megan M. Haskins, 36, of Racine, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth degree; and one count of Possession of Cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree.

Taylor S. Templeton, 21, of Pomeroy, Ohio, has been indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Tyler Bennett, 19, of Middleport, Ohio, was indicted for one count of Rape, a felony of the first degree; and one count of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, a felony of the fourth degree.

The cases against those indicted will proceed in the Gallia County Common Pleas Court. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
