Robert W. Moore (Bob), 90, of Torch, Ohio passed away at his residence on Deceber 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born September 6, 1927 to Joe and Myrtle (Schultz) Moore in Little Hocking, Ohio.

Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He owned and operated the Tri-County Meat Packing in Torch for 13 years, followed by Moore’s Deer Processing for 25+ years. Bob was also a member of the Vanderhoof Baptist Church, the VFW and the American Legion.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia A. (Gibbs) Moore; a son, Andy (Nena) Moore of Coolville, Ohio; 2 daughters, Darlene (Delbert) Guess of Torch, Ohio and Elizabeth (Roger) Fore of Coolville, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Willie (Lisa) Guess of Coolville, Lindsey Moore of Coolville, Cassidy (Zach) Hall of Torch, Andrea (Jeff) Carmichael of Belpre, Brett Moore (Amy Biehl) of Whipple, D.J. (Meagan) Fore of Guysville, and Erin Moore (Justin Stanley) of Amesville; 7 great-grandchildren; his special Donkey, Jack, of the home; sisters, Edith England of Little Hocking, Wilma George of East Sparta, OH; a brother-in-law, Clyde Padgitt; 3 sisters-in-law, Christel Gibbs of Ray City, GA, Doris Gibbs of Reedsville, OH and Nancy (Bill) Bobo of Coolville.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert W. Moore, Jr. and sisters, Marilyn Padgitt and Freda Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH with Pastor Craig Holler officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the Marietta American Legion Post 64 and the Marietta VFW Post 5108.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
