RACINE, Ohio – Racine Southern FFA members had a record number in sales for fruit sales.

On October 15, 2017 the FFA fruit sales began and went through November 2, 2017. Sales were a record $12,256. This was a record amount of sales. The top fruit seller was Austin Rose with total sales of $2,252. Members were awarded cash prizes for their individual orders. They could also earn their FFA jacket. The fruit arrived about 7 a.m. on December 4, 2017 and members were there early along with volunteers to unload the large shipment. Each FFA member was responsible for delivery in person to their customers. In addition to selling the fruit and gaining sales experience, members sorted the fruit, and assembled mixed fruit baskets. Members also sent thank you letters and mixed baskets to their biggest supporters to show appreciation. It was noted the group is looking forward to next year’s sales.
