William (Bill) McDonald, 74, passed away in his sleep on Monday April 9, 2018 at The Arbors at Pomeroy in Pomeroy, Ohio following a brief illness. He was born on May 26, 1943 to Charles Ross and Margaret Ellen Jane Rowe McDonald.

He attended Westerville High School. He was an Army Veteran, a boilermaker through Local #105 in Chillicothe, Ohio and worked as an oil equipment operator/ installation and maintenance operator through Geo M Hanna Company for 14 years.

Bill enjoyed working with his hands. He was an extremely talented artist and woodworker. Many were blessed to have a piece of his artwork Beit drawings, paintings, or his wood workings.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sandy, who many known as “the love of his life”, Brother Charles McDonald Jr. and Sisters Betty Lou Liston, Virginia Graham, Nephew Timothy McDonald and Best Friend Edward Dunn. He leaves behind to cherish his memory four brothers, Ron (Holly) McDonald, Danny (Pat) McDonald, Jerry McDonald and Jimmy McDonald. The light of his life are children Janet Lyons, Caprice McDonald, Amy (Matt) Everett, William McDonald Jr. and Margaret McDonald (Jason Lyons). He loved and adored his grandchildren, William and Pactrick Lyons, Maria Wharton (Alyssa Zaayer), Morgan McDonald, Michael Hooper and Peyton Everett. Very special neighbors and John and Sarah Nichols, and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

“He could walk, he could run, and he could fly. So fly he did! And, as he soared he saw beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life to what he never knew existed.” The family will be celebrating Bill’s life in a private ceremony at a later date.
