POMEROY, Ohio – One vehicle has been involved in a crash on State Route 7.

The crash occurred about 5 p.m. A vehicle traveling southbound on State Route 7 went off the side of the road, crashing and landing on its top according to Trooper Williams of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Two people were transported for medical attention, a female driver and a male passenger. Further information, including the name of the driver has not yet been released.

Trooper Williams said the crash is still under investigation. The scene was cleared about 6:45 p.m.

In addition to the Ohio State Highway Patrol responding, Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Pomeroy Fire Department, Meigs County EMS, Portsmouth Ambulance and Riverside Towing were on the scene.
