Traffic Stop Nets Heroin, Cash and Four Arrests

MEIGS COUNTY – Meigs County law enforcement was continuing the battle against drugs with the arrests of four people and the seizure of heroin, cash and a vehicle.

Meigs County Sheriff Keith O. Wood reports Deputy Matt May initiated a traffic stop on US. 33 on a 2007 Chevrolet coupe for a marked lanes violation. Deputy K-9 Dolly indicated there was drugs in the vehicle.

Upon search of the vehicle deputies recovered 1.3 grams of heroin. Travis Croson, 23, of Roanoke Virginia was arrested on an outstanding warrant through Athens /county for trafficking in drugs.

Ebony Saunders, 21, of Virginia also was arrested on warrants from Virginia for trafficking in drugs and embezzlement. also arrested was Andrea Napier, 35, of Charlotte North Carolina and Amanda Nester, 27, of Forest Virginia. All are charged with possession of heroin and all are being housed in the Middleport Jail. In addition to the heroin, $1,650 dollars in cash and the 2007 Chevy were seized.
