Delays and Cancellations in Face of Impending Weather Conditions

MEIGS COUNTY – While Monday, Jan. 6 is supposed to be the first day back for area schools following a long Christmas break, the impending inclement weather is causing officials to opt for 2 hour delays for first day back. The Meigs Independent Press will give updates as more information becomes available and as conditions warrant.

DELAYS

Currently, the following schools are on 2 hour delays for Monday: Meigs Local; Southern Local; Eastern Local; Carleton School and Meigs Industries. Mid-Valley Christian School is also on a 2 hour delay.

CANCELLATIONS

New Horizons Enrichment Day Care is cancelling their morning classes for Monday also.

All Meigs Middle School games with Trimble for Monday night have also been postponed.
