Meigs County Egg Hunts and Easter Bunny Meet and Greets

Syracuse Fire Department  will host an egg hunt on April 19, at the fire station. The Easter egg hunt starts at 1 p.m. and is for ages one through 12. The Easter Bunny will also hop by for a visit.

The Middleport Fire Department will have an egg hunt on Easter Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Middleport Ball Fields. There will be three eggs containing a slip for bicycles for the three oldest age groups. The Easter Bunny will also be there.

Sacred Heart Parish will have their egg hunt at Emi’s Place park in Pomeroy on April 19 at 11:00 a.m. there will also be snacks after the hunt.

Already Held Hunts

Home National Bank of Racine will have an Easter bunny visit on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9-11 AM. There will be pictures with the Easter Bunny, as well as treats and crafts available. They will also be accepting non-perishable food donations as part of our Stop Hunger @ Home Food Drive. All donations will be sent to the Meigs County Cooperative Parish.

Meigs County Library egg hunt at the Racine Public library sponsored by the Friends of the Library will be held on April 12 at 11:00 a.m. Children will be broken up into the following age groups for the hunt, 1-4, 5-8, and 9-12.

Old Fort Meigs will have an egg hunt located at 35431 New Lima Road in Rutland on April 12 11:30 a.m. There will be a cost of $1 per child up to 15 years old with prizes. Food will also available as well as free fishing.

Gallia County Egg Hunts and Easter Bunny Meet and Greets

Gallipolis Parks and Recreation Department annual “Easter in the Park” will be held in the City Park this Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. The hunt will have 2,000 Easter eggs filled with candy hidden in the park and is sponsored by the Jr. Women’s Club. Children ages 0-12 are welcome to hunt for eggs. There will also be games at the park, which will start at 10 a.m. A bonnet contest will immediately follow the egg hunt with categories as follows: prettiest, most original and most traditional. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance. A bag of candy will be given to each child at the end of the hunt.

Already Held Events

O.O. McIntyre Park District’s will have their annual egg hunt Saturday April, 19 at 10 a.m. at Raccoon Creek County Park on County Road 28 (Dan Jones). The hunt is open to children age 12 and under. Participants should meet at the Wild Turkey (No. 1) shelter and will be separated into age groups for the hunt. All participants will receive a treat from the Easter bunny. Bob Evans Farm’s “Easter Down on the Farm” will be held on Saturday April 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kids will be able to visit with the Easter Bunny, take train ride on the barnyard express, take a tractor drawn wagon ride, lead rides and do a kids craft for the first 300 kids. All the events of the day are free, but everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food pantry.

Scenic Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will have an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Friday April, 11. Refreshments will be provided by Life Ambulance. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance to visit with everyone. For more information, call 446-7150.

Ewington Church of Christ in Christian Union egg hunt for children up to age 10 is set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday April, 12 in the Vinton Community Park. There will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks. Everyone is invited to attend. For information, contact Missy Justice at 388-0151
