Fishing, Activities and More at Family Event

REEDSVILLE – A fun day for families has been set for May 4, at Forked Run State Park. The event is free.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, the park located at 63300 St. Rt. 124 will host several outdoor activities for youth and families sponsored by the Meigs Active Conservationists Teamed Together (ACTT). Activities will include inflatable BB gun range, NASP archery trailer, trapping information, and fish identification classes. Additionally, fishing will be available. Participants may bring their own pole and gear or may use one of the ACTT. No fishing license will be required that day.

The Air Evac helicopter will be on hand as well.

ACTT members include: Chester Bow Hunter’s Club; Meigs County Ikes; Pomeroy Gun Club; Friends of Forked Run; Forked Run Sportsman’s Club; Meigs County Fish and Game; Racine Gun Club; Meigs County Soil and Water Conservation District; Meigs County Beagle Club; Shade River Coon Hunters Club; and NWTF Ohio River Valley Chapter.
