The BACF Classic is an annual game held each summer, with proceeds going towards funds to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. The game pits West Virginia high school seniors against Ohio high school seniors from schools in the Mid-Ohio Valley. This year’s contest will be the 21st edition of the game, with West Virginia holding a 14-7 advantage in the series, after a 33-13 victory last June. Greg Adams, head football coach of Belpre High School, will be at the helm for the Ohio team, while Parkersburg Catholic High School (W.Va.) head coach Jeff Campbell will be in charge of the West Virginia team. “it’s a big fundraiser for a good cause,” says Danny Tennant, the BACF Board of Directors Football Chairperson and athletic director at Parkersburg Catholic High School. He mentions that the teams will be fighting for “bragging rights for another year.” Last year’s game featured two Meigs County participants, Joey Scowden and Alex Amos of Eastern. This year’s kickoff is at 7 P.M. and tickets will be five dollars at the gate.
