image001Steven Thomas Watson, 57, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Steve was born on December 5, 1956 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Thomas M. Watson and Beatrice Joyce Turley Watson who survives.

Steve was an Ohio Operating Engineer having retired with 34 years. He was a 1974 graduate of Hannan Trace High School and a member of The Ohio Valley Masonic Lodge # 536. Steve enjoyed raising his garden. Steve was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

On May 10, 1975, Steve married Sheila Waugh Watson and she survives him, along with sons J.T. (Crystal) Watson, Jacob (Adria) Watson both of Crown City, a nephew raised as a son, A.J. (Rebecca) McDaniel of Warren Robin, Georgia; two grandchildren, Kalob and Payden Watson, and a grandson expected to arrive in December. Steve’s mother Beatrice Joyce Watson survives in Crown City, five brothers, Randy (Judy) Watson of Bartlett, TN, Chris Watson of Ohio, Rex Watson of Crown City, Ohio, Darin (Ardella) Watson of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Jason (Rebecca) Watson of Walton, KY, his mother-in-law Yvonne Waugh of Crown City, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, August 15, 2014 at Willis Funeral Home with Dale Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Willis Funeral Home from 5 -7:30 pm. A Masonic service will be conducted by Ohio Valley Masonic Lodge on Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Pallbearers will be J.T. Watson, Jacob Watson, A.J. McDaniel, Kalob Watson, Austin Watson, and Cole Watson.
