Melvin was a farmer; he also drove a school bus for several years, and was involved in the Gallia County farm school back in the 1950’s. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by 19 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Saturday August 30, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Melvin’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
