Randolph “Randy” Thomas North, 67

Obit CandleRandolph “Randy” Thomas North, 67, of Gallipolis, passed away at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his residence. Born October 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert North and the late Gladys Lucille Randolph Medas. He was a United State Army Veteran of the Vietnam Was and a member of the Point Pleasant American Legion Post # 23. He retired truck driver haven driven for C.C. Caldwell and Foster Trucking Company. He loved to hunt, fish, and spending time with grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Jeannie Ferguson Beaver-North, who he married on September 14, 2001 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, children, Shawn (Crystal McKissack) Beaver, of Tennessee, Teresa Haner, of Gallipolis, Mary (Chuck) Casey, of Gallipolis, Christopher (Christy) Beaver, of Gallipolis, fourteen grandchildren, Tiffany, Shauna, Shania, and Abby Beaver, Cody and Stacy Haner, Nick, Lauren, and Colin Casey, Joey Cox, Dakotah, Jakob, Austin, and Kori Beaver, three great-grandchildren, Hayden Morehouse, Cory Hunt, Pipper Hunt, and one on the way. Brothers, Jeff North, of Huntington, and Michael (Pam) Medas, of Hillard and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his mother and father Randy is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Haner.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 with Military Honors provided by Point Pleasant American Legion Post # 23. Pastor Alfred Holley will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service time.
