CHESTER – The Fourth Annual Kevin N. Fick Memorial Scholarship fundraiser will be held at the Chester Community Center on Saturday, April 2, from 9 am until 3 pm.

Fick, who was employed as Technology Coordinator at Eastern High School, passed away unexpectedly in November of 2011. He left behind a wife, three children, a brother and parents. After his passing, his extended family established a memorial scholarship fund to honor his life and the legacy he left behind.

Items for sale include furniture (glass entertainment center, wooden chalkboard easel) stereo equipment, primitives, old wooden ironing board, small appliances(such as a new three-station crock pot and Cuisinart coffee maker), household and kitchen items, jewelry, sporting goods (Razor scooter, exercise equipment), plants, like-new toys, clothing (many sizes) and other items of interest, too numerous to list.

Home-cooked food and baked goods will also be available on the day of the sale.

A handcrafted wooden bowl, donated by local artist Walter Tuttle and a new Better Built 5′ by 8′ single-axle Trailer, donated by Max Eichinger of Eichinger Trailer Sales of Tuppers Plains, will be raffled off that day as well. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased the day of the event. Or, you may contact Tammi Barber at 740-416-5370 to buy raffle tickets in advance. The drawing will take place at 3 pm on the day of the fundraiser, April 2. Winners of the raffles will be notified, they do not need to be present to win.
