The workshop is an introduction to the fundamentals of Alzheimer’s disease and is designed to help families and caregivers gain a better understanding of warning signs, diagnosis, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, and much more. The workshop is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
Carolyn Canini, Family Services Director for the Alzheimer’s Association, West Virginia Chapter said, “Unfortunately, there is no way to treat, prevent, or cure Alzheimer’s disease but we are here to provide support for the difficult journey they may face until a cure is found.”
