POMEROY – The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office is making it easier for anyone that wants to give them tips.

Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood has had the a TIP line in the works for sometime. The TIP line is for reporting criminal drug activity and is now activated.

According to Sheriff Wood, the information comes directly to him and will remain anonymous.

“The information you provide is crucial in our efforts to initiate an investigation. You can continue to provide criminal drug activity on our Meigs County Sheriff’s Website TIP link,” the Sheriff said in a statement released on the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The TIP phone number is 740-992-4682.

Since taking office, Sheriff Wood has made combating drugs a priority. Part of that was to join Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s implementation of the Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia-Meigs Counties.
