SOUTHEAST OHIO – The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced a list of roadways impacted by high water throughout Southeastern Ohio. This list continues to grow and will be updated as information becomes available.

Remember to “turn around, don’t drown” when water is across roadways.

In Meigs County, a portion of State Route 143 between State Route 7 and State Route 684 is closed due to high water.

In Gallia County the following roadways are closed: State Route 141 between the Lawrence County line and State Route 233; State Route 218 between the Lawrence County line and State Route 790; State Route 218 between State Route 790 and State Route 7; State Route 554 between State Route 160 and State Route 7; State Route 775 between the Lawrence County line and State Route 141; and State Route 850 between State Route 588 and State Route 554.

In Athens County State Route 56 between the Vinton County line and Athens Corporation. State Route 329 in Athens between State Route 144 and State Route 550 is restricted.

Vinton County has restrictions on the following: State Route 124 between Jackson City line and State Route 160 (West); State Route 278 between U.S. 50 and the Hocking County line; State Route 324 between State Route 160 and State Route 93; and State Route 677 between U.S. 50 and State Route 278. A portion of State Route 278 in Vinton between U.S. 550 and the Hocking County line is closed.
