RACINE, Ohio – The names have been released of the occupants of an ultra-light aircraft that crashed on Aug. 15, 2018 in the Tackerville area of Racine, Ohio.

According to a statement from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Beau Diddle, 27, of Racine, Ohio and Bryce Bowling, 29, of Pomeroy, Ohio crashed in a Lazair Ultra-Light Aircraft.

The aircraft crashed on Bashan Road just north of Tornado Road. The roadway was closed for the crash and following investigation about two hours.

Both Diddle and Bowling were transported to Cabell-Huntington Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Further information on their condition has not been released.

In addition to the OHSP, Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Racine Fire Department, Meigs EMS, and Meigs EMA, the Federal Aviation Association also assisted.
