POMEROY, Ohio – Holzer is proud to recognize security officers during the fourth annual National Security Officer Appreciation Week, September 16 – 22, 2018 which includes the Meigs locations of the health organization.

In a statement from Holzer, the medical organization expressed gratitude to their security departments, which provide services at locations in Athens, Gallipolis, Jackson, and Meigs counties. “Our Security Department is critical to daily operations in our facilities,” shared Morgan Saunders, Director of Facilities/Safety Operations, Holzer Health System. “We are very appreciative of their dedication to their communities, and wish to acknowledge their contributions not only during National Security Officer Appreciation Week, but each and every day.”

National Security Officer Appreciation Week honors the efforts of the nation’s security officers to create safer and more secure environments. The appreciation week is also an opportunity to profile the many roles security officers fill; debunk misconceptions and stereotypes; and raise awareness of the career opportunities that exist within the security services industry. Moreover, it is hoped that the event will encourage more people to pursue security related qualifications such as sia licence training in the future.

Security professionals are hard-working, highly trained men and women who are protectors, guardians and first responders. These individuals deter crime, lead evacuations, provide information, work closely with local law enforcement and are constantly vigilant in their efforts to keep people safe.

National Security Officer Appreciation Week is celebrated annually during the third full week of September and was established in 2015 to recognize the work of all contract and in-house security officers across all industries. For more information visit aus.com/ThankYouSecurity.
