Virgil Terry Hupp, 74

Virgil Terry Hupp, 74, of Racine, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Racine, Ohio on January 21, 2019.

Terry was born a son of the late Virgil T. and Ethel Hupp in Ripley, WV on June 3, 1944. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood, WV, an avid golfer and gardener. He loved spending time with his family. He was a WVU fan and enjoyed Ohio Bobcat Basketball games with his buddies.

Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Tim Smith of Racine, OH, and Tracy and John Morbitzer of Tuppers Plains, OH; grandchildren, Robert Eric Fruth, Terry Smith, Ashley Coon, Callahan Morbitzer, and Derek Smith; brother, Andy (Sandy) Hupp; sisters, Donna Baker and Robin (John) Gorrell.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Robert Tayengco and the PVH Hospice staff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Trouble.

There will be a memorial service on February 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood, WV, 719 Flinn Avenue, with John Gorrell officiating.

There will be a Gathering of Friends on February 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood is in charge of arrangements.
