POMEROY, Ohio – It’s time to kick summer into high gear with Kickin’ Summer Bash this weekend on the Pomeroy Riverfront.

Along the Ohio River on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 join all the fun at the Kickin’ Summer Bash on the riverfront in downtown Pomeroy. The festival starts off on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. with the Cruise In sponsored by Mark Porter Auto Group. The Cruise In will take place along with evening entertainment on the amphitheater sponsored by Angell Accounting and Ohio Valley Bank. Lineup includes Devin Henry at 7 p.m., Nick Michael and Susan Page Orchestra at 8 p.m. and closing out the evening will be Blitzkrieg from 9-11 p.m.

Saturday begins with the Chalk Drawing Contest at 2 p.m. sponsored by the Vaughan Agency. There will also be Face Painting from 2-4 p.m. sponsored by Little, Sheets & Barr Law Firm along with a Treasure Hunt at 3 p.m. sponsored by Farmers Bank. From 3-7 p.m. Bounce Houses are available due to sponsorship by REMRAM Recovery and Holzer Health Services. A Scavenger Hunt at 4 p.m. is sponsored by Farmers Bank. The Tribute to the Truckers 5-7 p.m. is sponsored by Hoon Inc, Ted Dexter Trucking and Shain’s Custom Signs. The “Giving it back” drawing will begin at 6 p.m. Additionally, Disney characters will be on the Riverfront from 5:30-7 p.m. and are sponsored by Home National Bank and Wolfe Mountain Entertainment. Entertainment on the amphitheater kicks off with Brent Patterson at 7 p.m. There will be a Lighted Boat parade at dusk sponsored by Simmons, Musser & Warner Insurance. Madeline Brookover will preform at 8 p.m. followed by Next Level at 9 pm. The evening’s entertainment sponsored again by Ohio Valley Bank and Angell Accounting.
