Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office Resumes Normal Office Hours

POMEROY, Ohio – As the state moves in stages to reopen following the COVID-19 closures, the Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has resumed normal hours, but will continue to be closed to the public at this time.

According to a statement from Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney James Stanley the office performs essential government functions and continues to represent Meigs County in the judicial system throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Previously, the Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reduced staffing to Mondays and Thursdays, though the attorneys and victim assistance staff continued to work from office most days of the week.  Staff worked from home Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. 

On April 27, 2020, the Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office resumed normal business hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, but the office remains closed to the public.  If anyone needs assistance, they may call the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office at 740-992-6371 or the Victim Assistance Program at 740-992-1720.
