COVID-19 Drive-Thru, Pop-Up Test Site Set for Aug. 29, 2020

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A COVID-19 drive-thru, pop-up testing site will be available in Meigs County on August 29, 2020. The testing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Meigs County Fairgrounds located at 41850 Fairgrounds Lane, Pomeroy, Ohio 45769.

About Pop-up Testing:

  • Anyone can get a no-cost test at this location.
  • No appointment is needed; anyone can walk-in on the scheduled day. A health care provider’s referral is not needed.
  • Quantities may be limited.

The Meigs County Health Department has been working since the pandemic began to get a free test site like this available for Meigs Countians. It has only been now that the state has made such a site available to the county.

According to the Ohio Department of Health, pop-up testing sites throughout Ohio are located in underserved areas but are open to anyone. The other regional locations will be announced soon. More information is available at coronavirus.ohio.gov.
