Meigs COVID-19 Update: Three additional deaths associated with the virus

POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting 20 additional confirmed and one probable case of COVID-19 in Meigs County.Meigs County currently has 127 active cases, and 1,272 total cases (1,147 Confirmed, 125 Probable) since April. The health department is also reporting three more deaths associated with COVID-19.

The three additional Meigs County residents passing away associated with COVID-19 include one individual was in the 70 to 79-year-old age range and two were in the 80 to 89-year-old age category. Meigs County has had 27 total deaths associated with COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.  

The health department is announcing a hospitalization in addition to the two reported in today’s cases. This Meigs County resident is in the 50 to 59-year-old age range. The total hospitalizations of Meigs County residents since April is 64.

Today’s cases:

The Meigs County Health Department is announcing an additional eight Meigs County residents have recovered from COVID-19. This brings to total recovered cases in Meigs County to 1,118.
