Bobby “Bob” Bailey, 85

Bobby “Bob” Bailey, 85, of Vinton, passed away, on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at his residence. Born on February 10, 1936, in Cabell County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Okey and Anna M. Saul Bailey. He was an over the road truck driver for Foster’s Trucking, a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local # 413 in Columbus, a Master Mason of the Vinton Lodge #131 Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, and also a 32nd Degree Master Mason, of the Valley of Columbus. 

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Pitchford Bailey, whom he married on September 4, 1971, in Pearisburg, Virginia, a daughter, Debra Crenshaw, of Ocala, Florida, a step-son, Jeff Sheets, of Bidwell, a step-daughter, Melissa Pace, of Gallipolis, grandchildren, Tristan (Rob) Denman, Ashlee Crenshaw, Garrett (Ashley Ray) Sheets, Tyler Pace, and Josh Pace, two great-grandsons, Jaden and Kasen Denman. Sisters, Mary Emma Waugh, of Crown City, and Margaret Bailey, of Gallipolis, brothers-in-law, Roger Pitchford, Tom (Leslie) Pitchford, and Ron (Shawna) Pitchford, a sister-in-law, Judy Miles, nieces, Barbra Mills, Diane Keeton, Sharon (Danny) Browning, and Judy (Cliff) Wolfe, nephews, Charles Waugh, James (Rose) Waugh, Richard (Sue) Waugh, and Scott Bailey, also survive. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Pace, brother, Charles Bailey, sisters, Mildred Stiff, and Francis Wood. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis, with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Interment will follow in the Swan Creek Cemetery with Ron Pitchford and Jeff Sheets serving as honorary casketbearers. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Masonic services will be conducted by Vinton Lodge #131 at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, is honored to serve the family.
