Alleged shooting under investigation

SYRACUSE, Ohio – Shots were allegedly fired from a vehicle in the Village of Syracuse and the matter is under investigation.

According to a statement from the Syracuse Police Department, the incident took place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at approximately 1:05 a.m. Allegedly a firearm was discharged from a vehicle within the village. The matter was then reported to law enforcement.

This matter is being investigated by the Syracuse Police Department and Meigs County Sheriffs Office. If anyone has any information please call Syracuse Police Chief Michael Oliver or Sheriff Deputy Joe Barnhart.
