Carl Richard Hysell, 82, of Rutland
Carl Richard Hysell, 82, born January 21, 1939 in Rutland, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at his home in Rutland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Hysell and Thelma Ebersbach Hysell. Also two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Hysell and sister in law Twila Stewart Hysell and beloved dog Spike.
He is survived by his nephews, Donald (Debbie) Hysell, Gary (Sandy) Hysell, David (Penny) Hysell, six great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews. Also someone who was like a son to him, Robbie Jacks and a dog Pepper.
Carl served in the National Guard. Worked for the Meigs County Sheriff’s Department and was the Meigs County Juvenile Officer for several years where he helped many youths throughout our area. Also in his later years he was a used car dealer. Carl had many friends and will be missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the second floor nurses at The Holzer Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Rutland Civic Center with Pastor Ann Forbes officiating. Burial will follow at the Miles Cemetery. Visitation will be held three hours prior to the service. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
