Valerie Patterson Durham, 48

Valerie Patterson Durham, 48, passed away Saturday, September 18 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio after a brief illness. Valerie was born February 13, 1973 in Gallipolis Ohio. Valerie graduated from Southern High School in 1991. Valerie was employed at Family Dollar for over 17 years.

Valerie leaves behind her husband Brian Durham; her children, Christopher Gilkey, Charles Gilkey, Jessica Durham Smith, Cassandra Durham, Brian Durham Jr, and Xavier Durham; her mother, Sandra Patterson; sisters, Trudy Mitchell, Melissa Watson, and Sherry Wervey; brothers, Larry Patterson and Larry Patterson Jr; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Larry Patterson Sr. and two nieces, Jessica Wilson and Courtney Jones.

Viewing will be at Anderson McDaniel Funeral home in Pomeroy, Ohio on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. There will be no funeral services.
