Job Posting: Transportation Driver

The Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services/Transportation Division is seeking qualified applicants to fill a position: transportation driver. This full-time position will provide transportation of clients to and from Medicaid reimbursable services, as well as other general non-Medicaid appointments/transports. The Transportation Driver will be responsible for performing the daily pick-up and drop-off of clients to and from their residence in a safe, secure, and professional manner.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; and
  2. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Must have been a licensed driver for a least three (3) previous continuous years; and
  3. Must be at least 21 years old; and
  4. A good driving record during the previous three (3) years and through the date of hire, meet the following requirements:
    a. No moving violations
    b. No accidents where applicant contributed to cause,
    c. Has not had his/her driving privileges suspended, revoked, or placed on probation by the DMV for a cause involving the safe operation of a motor vehicle.
    d. No convictions involving: leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily injury or death, reckless driving, and/or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Other violations and/or accidents will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be cause for non-selection, and
    e. No conviction within the past five (5) year of any related to the use, sale, possession, or transportation of narcotic, habit forming drugs, or dangerous drugs,
    $12.22 per hour, plus benefits.
