Barbara A. Murray Mora

Barbara A. Murray Mora passed from this life on Wednesday Nov. 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington WV. She was born May 26, 1939 in Charleston, WV to Frank Capteina and Jesse Wolfe Capteina.

Barbara spent much of her youth in the Charleston area, before moving to Middleport in 1954. Barbara married Delbert Eugene Murray on June 27, 1959. They were the parents of three children; Joni, Scott and Randy. Barbara excelled in domestic arts, whether that be crafting, gardening, cooking, baking or sewing. She was an excellent cake decorator and always made birthday cakes for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was also an Avon representative for many years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Scott. She married Donald Mora, who survives, in Jan. 1998. Barbara is survived by her children Joni (Des) Jeffers, Randy (Amy) Murray; her grandchildren, Katie (Bo) Mcclung, Nathan Jeffers, Ryan (Dani) Jeffers, Grant Murray and Davis Murray. As well as her great grandchildren, Eli and Emery Jeffers. She is also survived by her siblings, Grace Bertnik, Evelyn Bauer, Helen Phillips, and Kenny Capteina

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery, Middleport, with David Hopkins officiating.
