Crystal Sue McCourt, 70, passed away on February 10, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center following an extended illness. Crystal was born on May 16, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas to her late parents Samuel and Evalena Pickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James Pickens and Gerald Hart, and one sister, Carol Warner.
She is survived by her two beloved sons Phillip Wayne and Thomas Matthew McCourt, two brothers Gary Pickens and Lewis Higgins, five sisters Julia Russel, Linda Pickens, Faye Ann Pickens, Sandra Sims, and Sharon Stark, Grandchildren Christopher, Keira, and Conner McCourt, Ariann and Joey Sizemore, Colten Roush, and Porter Fetty, and a very special Aunt Dorothy, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was an extraordinary women who would have given the clothes off her back to keep the people she loved warm. She loved her friends and family with every ounce of her being and her friends and family will miss her with every ounce of theirs.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial followed in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
