Tire Slashing Being Investigated in Racine

RACINE, Ohio – The Racine Marshal’s Office is currently investigating several vehicle tires being slashed during the early morning hours of April 18, 2022.

According to Racine Village Marshal Michael Hupp, tires have been slashed on several law enforcement vehicles belonging to various agencies in Meigs County, as well citizens’ vehicles and side-by-sides.

“We are asking you to review your security cameras to see if you may have video of the suspect(s),” stated Marshal Hupp.

Furthermore, with recent vehicle thefts occurring once again, Marshal Hupp asks that residents remove the keys from vehicles, secure vehicle doors, and remove any valuables from the vehicle.

Anyone with information should message the Village of Racine Marshals office on Facebook or call the Meigs County 911 center at 740-992-6617 option 5.

Marshal Hupp and the Racine Marshal’s Office would like to extend their gratitude to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office for assisting with this incident.
