Garage Fire in Racine

RACINE, Ohio – A garage fire outside of Racine is a total loss despite the efforts of firefighters.

The Racine Fire Department responded to a call for a garage fire on Tornado Road at 5:08 p.m. on July 8, 2022. Once on scene the building was fully engulfed with smoke and flames. Racine responded with 15 firefighters and two trucks. Also responding to the scene was Meigs EMS, Ohio State Highway Patrol, AEP and Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.

Racine Fire Chief Boyd Bailey said the cause was unknown at this time, but did not appear to be suspicious. “Everyone worked well together. The structure is basically a complete loss, unfortunately. We appreciate the support of Meigs EMS and the Ohio State Highway Patrol on the scene,” said Chief Bailey.
