Junior Fair Booths Highlight Work of Youth

ROCKSPRINGS, Ohio – Junior Fair Booths offer the opportunity to showcase the work that members of their respective organizations have been doing for months leading up to the Meigs County Fair.

Most Junior Fair booths are in the Junior Fair building. A lot of work goes into taking a completely blank space and turning it into a showcase of youth work and effort.

The 4-H Clubs have a competition and follow typically follow the Junior Fair theme for the fair. This year’s Junior Fair theme is ”Moovin’ and Groovin’ at the 159th Meigs County Fair.” Booths reflect the theme with each club doing a take on what the theme means to them.

Meigs and Southern FFA organizations also display projects, crops grown by members and other activities.

The Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts also show off the work their members have been involved in with earning badges and participating in leadership opportunities.

Junior Grange booth, which is not in the Junior Fair building, but in the Thompson-Roush Building with the other Grange booths also highlights activities of Junior Grange members.

Many youth from the Junior Fair organizations attended the Ohio State Fair to be judged at the state level with their projects as well.
