Copper theft reported at Yellowbush mine
The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying individuals.
On March 2, 2023 Meigs County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Yellowbush Mine after 911 received a call from employees of the mine stating that two individuals were stealing copper in the mine and caught the thieves on camera.
There has been multiple complaints of trespassing and theft from the mine in the past several weeks.
The suspects left the scene prior to deputies arrival in a gold van, using the access road that runs to SR 124 going toward Racine. One of the suspects was described to be wearing blue jeans and a Carhartt coat with a mask covering his face while the other had on a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
