Update: On Sept. 20, 2024 the boil water advisory issued on Sept 18, has been lifted for all previously listed areas.

On Sept. 18, 2024 a boil advisory was issued by the Leading Creek Conservancy District.

The boil advisory is for the following areas:

  • SR 124 from Titus Rd to SR 7 including all intersecting roads
  • SR 7 to SR 33 including all intersecting roads
  • SR 143 from SR 7 to Carpenter including all intersecting roads
  • Bradbury Road from SR 124 to Middleport Hill including all intersecting roads
  • All the Village of Rutland

A 12 inch water line leak repair on State Route 124 east of Rutland and the replacement of a 6 inch pressure regulator at Titus Road and SR 124 are the reasons for the boil advisory.

According to the Leading Creek Conservancy District, “Anytime a water line is depressurized there exists the potential for bacteriological contamination; therefore, the District is advising all Leading Creek customers in the affected areas to boil water for human consumption at least 3 minutes before use. This boil advisory will be in effect until water samples collected from the affected area have been analyzed and determined free of any contaminates. At that time the District will cancel the boil advisory.”

About 1,300 service connections are impacted by the boil advisory.
