Alleged drugs and suspects from a search warrant execution in Middleport, Ohio.

Four people have been arrested on drug charges related to a search warrant execution in Middleport.

According to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and agents with the Southeast Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a 38070 Zuspan Hollow Road.

The warrant was the result of an “extensive investigation into drug trafficking,” according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

Agents and deputies searched the residence and allegedly found, “Approximately three ounces of crystal methamphetamine and approximately two ounces of fentanyl. A total approximate weight of the drugs seized was over 140 grams. Also seized from the residence was drug paraphernalia, items indicative of drug trafficking, and US currency.”

“This is another example of good investigative police work by the Task Force and Detectives with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office,” said Meigs County Sheriff Scott Fitch.

“I want to send a clear message to our local residents that if you are allowing drug traffickers to set up shop in your homes to infest our community with their drugs, you are going to face consequences for your actions. I have continued to put drug dealers from the cities on notice that you are not welcome in our community. We will continue to send this message until you get with our program,” said Sheriff Fitch.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
