img_1049Ivan Lee Lane, 88, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Born June 19, 1928 in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Irvin and Ardath Walker Lane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a daughter, Robin Edie Lane.

Ivan was a United State Army Veteran. He was a construction worker and coal miner. He was a member of Crown City Masonic Lodge, and VFW Post #4464.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Halley Lane along with his six children who loved him dearly, Linda (Frank) Broderick, Steven (Sheila) Lane, Gregory (Cheryl) Lane, Scherry (Jimmy) Spears, Cynthia Russell, and Ivan (Lewis (Teresa) Lane. Grandchildren, Ivan Vincent (Jessica) Broderick, Kelli (Wendell) McKinney, Heather (Eric) Palmer, Brian (Mandy) Lane, Elizabeth (Tony) Hughes, Mari Beth (Jay) Welty, James Spears, Nicci Russell, Shea Russell, Lacey (Joseph Collins) Lane, Anthony Lane and Abbey Lane, along with several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday October 20, 2016 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Delaney officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, with Military Funeral Honors being presented by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. concluding with Masonic Services conducted by Crown City Masonic Lodge #536.

Pallbearers will be Steve Lane, Greg Lane, Shea Russell, Anthony Lane, Brian Lane and Vincent Broderick.
