Two men have been sentenced for a road rage collision that killed a well-known local barber.

In June, John Darko of Clark Summit and Paul Viscomi of Scott Township pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the March 2024 crash that killed 49-year-old Brian Nardella.

On September 5, Judge Moyle sentenced Darko to 25 to 60 months and Viscom to 30 to 60 months.

According to the Scranton Police Department, Darko and Viscomi were speeding in different cars, attempting to pass each other in a merge lane, which finally led to a collision.

According to the affidavit, Darko’s car lost control and spun into the other lane of travel, colliding with a third car driven by Nardella.

Nardella was a co-founder of Loyalty Barber Shop, which has several locations in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
