Mitchell D. Allen, 66

Mitchell D. Allen, 66, Karr Street, Syracuse, passed away at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Born June 2, 1947 in Portland, Ohio he was the son of the late Wesley and Grace Middleswart Allen. He was a retired millright of Millright Union Local #1066 at Cincinnati. He was a long time member of the Racine Gun Club.

Surviving is his wife, Jeanie E. Manuel Allen, whom he married April 19, 1965 in Portland, sons, Brian Allen, Chesapeake, Virginia, Mark (Stephanie) Allen, Racine and Jason (Sarah) Allen, Pomeroy, grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Lily, Lauren, Lucas, Vivian, Olivia, Abigal and Levi, three sisters, Robin (Ron) Albritton, South Carolina, Jane Rigsby, Franklin, Tennessee and Lisa (Tom) Woods, Syracuse, brothers, Lee Allen, Portland and Rodney “Buttons” Allen, Portland and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Allen.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2014, in the Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine, with Wesley Thoene officiating. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 A.M.and until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
