New Era Broadband to Celebrate Mid-way Construction of Broadband in Meigs County

POMEROY – Tomorrow a ribbon-cutting event will take place marking the mid-way point of New Era Broadband high-speed Internet expansion to the many unserved and underserved homes and businesses in Meigs County. Local dignitaries, representatives from New Era Broadband, representatives from Connect Ohio, and other community stakeholders will convene at the Pomeroy Gun Club at 1:30 p.m.

New Era Broadband’s service deployment is helping to bridge an existing digital divide for Meigs County residents. Currently, more than 2,100 homes and businesses in the area do not have access to high-speed Internet and this digital divide has an effect on education, economic development, and public safety.
