Sergeant Shirey to serve as Patrol spokesperson
OHIO – Sergeant Vincent B. Shirey of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Training Academy has transferred to the Public Affairs Unit in which he will serve as a spokesperson for the Patrol. He will work in conjunction with S/Lt. Anne Ralston, commander of the Public Affairs Unit.
Sgt. Shirey began his Patrol career in November 2001 as a cadet dispatcher assigned to the Warren Post. He began training as a member of the 140th Academy Class in September 2002. He earned his commission in February of the following year and was assigned to the West Jefferson Post. In 2011, he transferred to the Office of Personnel, Recruitment. In April 2013 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and transferred to his most recent assignment at the Patrol’s Training Academy.
